6. Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser storage. This section explains what we use and how you can control it.
When you first visit our Website, a banner asks you to choose “Accept all” or “Reject non-essential”. You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
a) Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the shop to work, so they do not need your consent. They do not track you across other websites.
- wo_consent – remembers your cookie choice (“Accept all” or “Reject non-essential”). Kept for 180 days.
- woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart – keep track of what is in your cart. Deleted when you close your browser.
- wp_woocommerce_session_* – keeps your cart and checkout session. Kept for 2 days.
- waxorbit_wishlist – remembers your wishlist when you are not logged in. Kept for 30 days.
- wo_checkout_saved – remembers your checkout details for next time, only if you choose to save them. Kept for 30 days.
- wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* – keep you logged in to your account and protect it. Deleted when you close your browser, or kept for 14 days if you tick “Remember me”.
- wordpress_test_cookie – checks that your browser accepts cookies when you log in. Deleted when you close your browser.
Faster loading (browser storage): to make pages load faster on later visits, your browser keeps copies of our Website’s own public files, such as styles, scripts, fonts and images. This storage contains no personal information and is not used to identify or track you. It refreshes automatically when we update the Website, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
b) Analytics (only with your consent)
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages and products are popular so we can improve the Website. They are only used if you click “Accept all”. We do not currently use any analytics cookies.
c) Marketing (only with your consent)
Marketing cookies help us measure our ads and show you relevant offers on other websites. They are only used if you click “Accept all”. We do not currently use any marketing cookies.
If we start using analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will list them here, and they will only run after you click “Accept all”.
d) Third-party cookies
When you pay, our payment partner Razorpay may set its own cookies for security and fraud prevention. These are covered by Razorpay’s privacy policy.
e) Your choices
- Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time. If you withdraw consent, the related cookies are removed and the page reloads.
- You can also block or delete cookies and stored website data in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Website, such as the cart, login and checkout, may not work.
7. How we protect your information
Our Website uses SSL encryption (the padlock in your browser). Access to customer information is limited to people who need it to run the store. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
